Our house has an awesome feature we have recently discovered with all the snow this winter. From the front of the house you can sled down to the end of our backyard. We have also discovered a great use for our boogie boards we purchased in Hawaii. They make really fast sleds. Jakob, George and I have had some great runs. I forgot to mention that are backyard is full of trees. So our sled run was a little tricky and you had to pay close attention to where you were going. After our latest snowfall (over 2 ft) I was watching George and Jakob from the dining room window and noticed there was potentially a better run if we built a bank to make the sled go to a larger opening in our back yard. It was awesome!! And yes I am totally taking credit for it.
With our busy life and those of our friends and family we hope this blog will allow you to peek in on our lives whenever you have the time. Enjoy our stories, adventures and rants.

Blizzard 2010
I have never seen this much snow. Our official measurement for our yard was 25". Once we shoveled the driveway and sidewalk we had piles well over 5 feet. The first time we shoveled it was at 18" and three hours later we shoveled another 7". I just found out our cul-de-sac is the worst. We cannot get out of our driveway yet because our road has not been plowed since early Saturday morning. We are unsure of when we will be able to get out and about. Our neighbors at the end of our street have been driving around, it is impossible for us to do that yet. The joys of living in cul-de-sac.
We did have a lot of fun yesterday after we shoveled with building forts, snowball fights and sledding. It has been a wonderful experience and will provide great memories in the years to come.
Everything appeared to have a hat.
It was such a pretty sight until you had to shovel it.
Our street. Those large mounds are cars. This is after the plow had made two runs Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
George after the first shoveling.
