Jakob had a play date scheduled last Friday. This was a non-mommy play date and his first with that condition. He was a little apprehensive until I informed him they would be playing Wii games and I would pick him up after an hour.
Thursday after dinner the play date mom called and said her son hadn't been to school that day and he had thrown-up after dinner that night and the play date wasn't going to happen. When I told Jakob that Zack wasn't feeling good he asked what was wrong with him. I was explaining that his stomach was having issues and when I began to talk about what had happened after he had eaten dinner Jakob asked, "Did he un-eat his dinner?"
Yes, yes he did.

Pinewood Derby Time
This month has been filled with Pinewood Derby planning. At the pack meeting last month Santa delivered presents to all the boy scouts. Pinewood Derby car packs. This present came complete with a block of wood, tires, metal axles and instructions. Jakob and George have done been sawing, sanding, oohing and awing about the car. Jakob is so excited about racing his car on the 30th.
I am looking forward to the race too. I am not looking forward to the 50+ races and the three hours it is going to take to get through the Pinewood Derby Races. George said that when he raced it was only one race and they were done if they didn't win their heat. The rules now are that every car must race in each of the four lanes, and against every car. Meaning if there are 8 kids in the Tiger Den there will be a ridiculous number of races. THEN, the other 5 dens will have their races and the 6 & 7 year-olds will wait patiently while they finish. (Sarcasm intended) You are all invited.
