I had signed Jakob up for lots of summer camps just before school was out. We did not know at that time we would be moving to Springfield. That said, Jakob had two T-Ball camps in late July and August at the Rec Center near our old house. The first was the Saturday and Sunday before we moved. It was a great distraction from the stress of packing and planning.
The second camp was yesterday and today. The commute was 30 minutes instead of 10, however we enjoyed it more this time and it was fun to see his progress. Another bonus was a friend from his preschool was also in this camp. If you've kept up with our blog you'll remember the name Jenna and the crush Jakob had on her last school year. He was thrilled to see her and even more thrilled when the coaches teamed them up for a game of catch. Jakob wouldn't throw hard to her for fear of hurting her, but Jenna threw great and Jakob realized he needed to up his game to impress the girl. They were so cute to watch. He is very excited his birthday party is coming soon so he can invite her to his party. Ahhh!
