To Infinity & Beyond!

Jakob and I went to the newly remodeled DisneyStore Outlet. What great bargains! I found a Buzz Lightyear Costume for Jakob for $2.50. The wings even light up. Jakob found a race track with remote control cars, Lightning McQueen and Chick. We have had so much fun racing these quirky little cars. The best time is when they hop off the track and go off road.

Happy 37th Birthday

George is another year closer to 40! We are finding 40 a hard number to understand. How did we get here? Who is that in the mirror staring back at me? George is handling it better than I am and I remind him he will always be older.

Jakob planned a big surprise party which included silly string, a mouse brownie (it looks more like a lion when we finished), hats, blowers and streamers. We had a great time. Jakob liked the fact we had our dessert first and dinner after. George was a big fan of that plan also!

Louisville Slugger

On a recent trip George had the opportunity to order a Louisville Slugger Bat for Jakob. It was delivered yesterday and Jakob was thrilled to receive a package. The bat has Jakob's name and the presidential seal engraved on it. WOW!

Jakob has decided this bat is too special for him to use and he has hung it in a place of honor in his room. Maybe someday he will want to use it.

Baby It's Cold Outside

Today was our coldest day so far this winter. Our high was 26 (with windchill it was 17) our low tonight should be 12.

We made it to church and lunch with a quick stop at Target where we found an amazing carnival Jakob can build on his own. It is made by the company Cranium and it stays together with magnets and Velcro. So cool. It can turn into anything your imagination wants. We did the carnival today and played ALL the games over and over again.

Snow

We had our first significant snowfall of the season. Jakob and I went out to shovel the driveway and throw snowballs. We built an upside down snow penguin and had lots of fun. Jakob is getting pretty good with his aim lately and got me a few times with snowballs.
